Starbucks Reserve Cards
Each Starbucks Reserve coffee tells its own story of place, people, and craft. For every new origin, I designed an illustration that captured the spirit of that coffee, from the landscapes and farmers behind it to the unique notes and flavors that define it. These cards clip onto each bag, serving as a tactile reminder of where the coffee comes from and the artistry that goes into every roast. Translating those stories into visual form was one of my favorite parts of the process, balancing storytelling, culture, and design in a single small canvas.

Honey Process Costa Rica Tica Linda
The illustration for this Starbucks Reserve coffee celebrates the vibrant nature of Costa Rica and the incredible women of Tica Linda. Two local parrots take center stage among a rich diversity of native plants, capturing the lush tropical landscape where this coffee is grown. Subtle details, like honey hives and hands holding coffee beans, nod to the honey-process method and honor the all-female group carefully cultivating each cherry. The goal was to visually reflect the coffee’s silky sweetness, its terroir, and the pride, craft, and beauty of the women behind it.

Sun-Dried Uganda Embogo
For this Starbucks Reserve coffee, the illustration was inspired by the embogo buffalo, a symbol of strength, resilience, and beauty that mirrors the farmers cultivating coffee along the Rwenzori Mountains. I focused on bold, strong colors to capture the coffee’s distinctive flavor and sun-dried process, while incorporating native plants and landscape elements to reflect the unique terroir. The goal was to create a visual story that celebrates both the coffee’s extraordinary taste and the determined community behind it.

Starbucks Reserve x Tidal Shift
For the Tidal Shift gala, hosted by Starbucks Reserve and the Seattle Kraken to benefit the One Roof Foundation, I designed an exclusive coffee card for guests. The card, inspired by the underwater universe shared by both brand symbols—the siren and the kraken—added a touch of magic to the evening, celebrating community, philanthropy, and the start of a new era for the team.
